I get asked this question quite often…should I have a website, or blogsite?   I myself struggled with this for a few years.  I wanted to make sure I had a good online presence, and appeared on the first page of google.  I had a ShowIt site for quite a while, and loved it.  I liked the design options, and it allowed great SEO within the site itself.  The only downfall was the $39 a month it was costing me.  Don’t get me wrong, ShowIt has a wonderful product and great customer service.  I just no longer wanted to spend that much on a site.  I decided to take the leap and just use a blogsite through ProPhoto.  I am so glad I did, it is so much easier to keep my site updated.  I love that I can wake up one morning and decide to blog a certain session, and my site is current.  When people go to my site, they see fresh/current images/content, not images from a few years ago, lol.  Plus ProPhoto blogsites are great for SEO as well.  A little SEO tip…give your images a title, such as, “Houston, TX Wedding Photographer”.  This is one small tip that will help google find your site.  SEO is quite complicated, and takes a while.  If you are looking for help with SEO on your site, send me a quick message, I would love to help you out.
